Tenzo AI Alternatives: 7 AI Recruiters and Interviewers Compared
Seven Tenzo AI alternatives compared by interview format, who each suits and how they charge, from phone recruiters to chat and browser voice interviews.
Tenzo AI sells Morgan, an AI recruiter that screens, interviews and schedules candidates by phone, text, email and WhatsApp, with staffing agencies and RPOs among its named buyers. Teams look at Tenzo alternatives when they want published or outcome-based pricing, a different interview format for their candidates, a named third-party bias audit, or a tool built around one interview rather than a whole recruiting workflow.
This page compares seven Tenzo alternatives and competitors: Alex, Classet, ConverzAI, DIO, HeyMilo, Hubert and Ribbon. Four of them, like Tenzo, reach candidates by phone; the others interview by chat or in the browser.
Dio makes DIO, one of the tools on this page. Details checked on October 13, 2026 from each vendor's own website (other sources are named where used); products and prices change, so check the vendor's site before deciding.

For staffing desks, two things matter more than the feature list: whether the tool reaches candidates the way your recruiters already do, and whether results land where your recruiters work. Our page on AI interviews for staffing agencies walks through the agency workflow from intake to submittal.
What is Tenzo AI?
Tenzo's AI recruiter, Morgan, screens, interviews and schedules candidates by phone, text, email and WhatsApp. Tenzo describes AI phone or video interviews around the clock, résumé review, rediscovery of candidates already in your ATS, and booking of next-round interviews. Recruiters define the criteria, the weighting and the knockout questions, and the score, transcript and recording are written to the candidate's record. Tenzo says it works in more than 40 languages and checks 40+ signals for cheating and stolen identities. Its solutions page lists 57 or more integrations, including Bullhorn, Workday, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, UKG, Dayforce and Salesforce, and names staffing agencies and RPOs among its buyers.
On decisions, Tenzo says a person reads that record and makes the decision. It says a de-biasing layer removes protected-class information from transcripts before evaluation, and that candidates can opt out of AI interviews. We didn't find a third-party bias audit named on its site.
Its privacy policy names the company as Salv AI, Inc., doing business as Tenzo AI, with a San Francisco address; the site doesn't say when the company was founded or how it is funded. Pricing is by tailored quote.
Why do teams compare Tenzo with other tools?
- Pricing. Tenzo quotes each customer. Some teams want a published plan; some staffing firms would rather pay per placement.
- Format. Tenzo leads with phone calls and messaging. Some teams want a browser interview, a chat interview, or one fixed format for every candidate.
- Bias evidence. Tenzo describes a de-biasing layer but names no outside auditor. Teams that want a third-party audit compare vendors that name one.
- Vendor checks. Tenzo's site doesn't give a founding date or funding, so procurement teams ask directly.
Which Tenzo alternatives are worth comparing?
The seven tools below are listed alphabetically. Each entry covers what the tool is, how it differs from Tenzo and what to check, drawn from the vendor's own pages.
Alex
Alex is an AI recruiter from Apriora Inc. that interviews, screens and schedules applicants in two-way conversations by video, phone, SMS or WhatsApp, with follow-up questions in real time and outbound voice calls. Video interviews are recorded, transcribed and scored against a rubric; Alex books the next interview on your team's calendar and can check a government ID and a live selfie. It lists 33+ officially supported ATS integrations, including Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever, SAP SuccessFactors and Bullhorn.
Compared with Tenzo: the closest match on channels, and it names its bias auditor: a 2025 post on its blog says Warden AI audited it. Its ethical AI page says no candidate is auto-rejected by AI.
What to check: pricing isn't published, and its pages give 26+ languages in one place and 30 in another, fewer than Tenzo's 40+. See Alex alternatives.
Classet
Classet is built for hourly and frontline roles in staffing, skilled trades, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics. Its AI recruiter, Joy, handles the first phone interview and follow-ups: Joy calls candidates, and a Call to Apply hiring number lets candidates ring in at any hour. Each criterion is marked met or not met with the candidate's words quoted, and the overall fit is Strong, Good, Borderline or Weak; Classet says Joy never rejects anyone. It works in 25+ languages and says a third party audits it for bias monthly.
Compared with Tenzo: phone-first too, but with published prices: Starter is $249 a month billed annually ($349 month to month) for 50 completed interviews, Scale $999 a month billed annually ($1,399 month to month) for 250, and Enterprise from $1,995 a month. The trial is 20 free interviews, with a card required.
What to check: ATS sync, covering 95+ platforms, is Enterprise-only, which matters for agencies that live in their ATS. No browser or video interview is described.
ConverzAI
ConverzAI's Virtual Recruiter is built for staffing firms. It screens and qualifies applicants, schedules interviews, follows up on paperwork and re-matches candidates in your ATS to open roles, reaching people through calls, texts and emails. It builds interview questions from the job's details, such as skills, role type and pay, and says Warden AI has audited it for bias.
Compared with Tenzo: the same staffing focus, including redeploying your existing database, with outcome-based pricing: ConverzAI says you pay only for placements.
What to check: the ATS names on its demo form (Avionté, Bullhorn, Ceipal, Erecruit, JobDiva, LaborEdge, Salesforce, TargetRecruit, TempWorks and Tracker) are a form list rather than a confirmed integration list, so ask about yours. Languages, the scoring method and fraud detection aren't stated on the pages we read.
DIO
DIO is the AI interviewer made by Dio, which publishes this page. Candidates open a link the recruiter shares and hold a structured voice interview in the browser whenever it suits them, with a microphone and never a camera; most interviews take about 15 minutes. DIO drafts the interview plan from the job description for the recruiter to review, follows up when an answer is thin or vague, and at the end answers the candidate's own questions from a Q&A the recruiter has reviewed.
Each competency is rated 1 to 5 against anchors written for the role. Every score must quote the candidate's exact words, which are checked against the transcript, and two different AI models grade each competency independently; when the evidence isn't there, or the models disagree about whether it is, the score is left blank rather than guessed. Knockout questions flag an answer for a recruiter to review, and a person on your team makes every hiring decision.
Compared with Tenzo: one interview, the same for every candidate, in a browser tab instead of a phone line and a message thread. Recruiters see the candidate's own words behind each score, alongside the recording and transcript.
What to check: interviews are in English only, and there's no outreach, scheduling or database rediscovery. Dio doesn't send invitations itself, so the link goes out through your own email, ATS or job posting. Jobs can be imported from Bullhorn, and results leave as CSV or Excel exports and a PDF summary of each interview.
HeyMilo
HeyMilo is an AI recruiter for teams swamped by applications. Its AI phone interviews call the candidate or send a browser audio link, and its AI video interviews listen, respond and ask follow-up questions. It also screens by SMS, runs knockout questions on forms, offers scenario-based skill assessments and books a calendar slot after the screen, with configurable fit scores and a plain-language rationale. It names staffing ATSs such as Bullhorn, Avionté and JobDiva alongside Workday, Greenhouse and iCIMS.
Compared with Tenzo: a similar phone and video mix for the same high-volume and staffing buyers, with a named auditor: its responsible AI page says Warden AI runs monthly bias audits.
What to check: pricing isn't published, and its pages list 20+ languages on the homepage and 14+ on the phone and video pages. See HeyMilo alternatives.
Hubert
Hubert runs structured interviews for high-volume hiring in social care, home services, industrial, restaurants, retail, staffing, and warehouse and logistics. Candidates are reached by text, phone or email and interview by web chat or phone, and Hubert added audio and video question types in August 2026. It scores answers against role-specific competencies and says its scoring is deterministic: the same answer always gets the same score, with full explainability, in Hubert's words. HubertDetect flags answers that may not reflect a candidate's genuine thinking, knockout rule sequences arrived in August 2026, and WhatsApp reminders are available. Hubert works in 30+ languages and integrates with 30+ ATSs, including Greenhouse, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Teamtailor, Avature, Lever, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS and Bullhorn, or runs without one.
Compared with Tenzo: chat-led rather than phone-led, and explicit that its scores are repeatable from one run to the next.
What to check: pricing is custom and billed per interviewed candidate, with unlimited users, and the smallest package includes 5,000 interviews a year. The pricing page mentions a 6-month trial while the FAQ says there are no free trials, only a 6-month term on a monthly commitment, so confirm the terms.
Ribbon
Ribbon's AI interviewer, Bonnie, runs structured voice and video interviews at any hour on a phone or computer with a modern browser, follows up when an answer needs more detail, and sends invitations by SMS, email or WhatsApp. It gives rubric scores and a recommendation, says it syncs with 60+ ATSs (naming Greenhouse, Workday, Ashby, UKG and Workable), and flags integrity signals such as looking away, background voices and scripted answers for a reviewer. Ribbon says the final hiring decision remains entirely with the human recruiter.
Compared with Tenzo: browser-based instead of phone-led, with published prices: billed annually, Growth is $499 a month for 100 interviews, Business $999 for 400 and Scale $1,999 for 1,000, and every plan but Enterprise has a 7-day free trial.
What to check: Ribbon supports 10+ languages, against Tenzo's 40+, and the pages we read describe browser interviews rather than dial-in calls. See Ribbon alternatives.
How do you choose a Tenzo alternative?
Five questions narrow the field quickly.
- Which channel reaches your candidates? If your recruiters already work by phone and text, a phone-led tool fits the desk. If candidates respond better to a link they can open when they're free, look at browser or chat interviews. Our comparison of AI screening interview formats sets out the trade-offs.
- How do you want to pay? Per placement (ConverzAI) ties cost to revenue; per interview (Classet, or Ribbon's overage) ties it to volume; Hubert's smallest package assumes 5,000 interviews a year. Our screening cost calculator shows what your recruiters' screens cost today, so you can compare.
- Do results land where your recruiters work? Tenzo, Alex, HeyMilo and Hubert name Bullhorn among their integrations; Classet's ATS sync is Enterprise-only; ConverzAI's list is a form. Ask each vendor to show a result arriving in your own ATS, not a slide.
- Which languages do you need? Tenzo says more than 40, Hubert 30+, Classet 25+, Alex 26+ or 30 and Ribbon 10+, while DIO is English only. Ask whether each language is scored as well as transcribed.
- What evidence will a recruiter see? Ask for a scorecard from a pilot on one of your own roles, and check each rating against the transcript. Our guide on how AI interview scoring works shows what to look for.
