HeyMilo Alternatives: 7 AI Interview Tools for High-Volume Hiring

Seven HeyMilo alternatives for high-volume screening, compared by interview format, who each suits and published pricing, checked on each vendor's own site.

HeyMilo is an AI recruiter for high-volume hiring: it interviews applicants by phone or AI-led video, screens them by text, and books a calendar slot for the ones who pass. Teams look at HeyMilo alternatives when they want to see a price before a demo, a different interview format for their candidates, more languages, or outreach, scheduling and an applicant tracking system in one product.

This page compares seven HeyMilo alternatives and competitors: Alex, Classet, DIO, Humanly, InterviewFlowAI, Ribbon and Tenzo. All of them are used for first-round screening, and they split mainly on format: a phone call, a browser link, a video, or a text thread.

Dio makes DIO, one of the tools on this page. Details checked on October 13, 2026 from each vendor's own website (other sources are named where used); products and prices change, so check the vendor's site before deciding.

HeyMilo alternatives at a glance

Classet Phone interviews: Joy calls candidates, or answers a hiring number around the clock Hourly and frontline roles in staffing, trades, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics Yes: from $249 a month, billed annually
DIO A voice interview in the browser; a microphone, never a camera Hiring teams, from first-round screens to later competency rounds Not covered here
Humanly Screening by chat, phone, voice and video; real-time video AI interviews Hourly, frontline and high-volume hiring teams No
InterviewFlowAI Two-way AI interviews by video or phone, plus audio-only and role-play Startups, recruitment agencies, high-volume and global hiring Yes: from $59 a month
Ribbon Voice and video interviews in a browser, on a phone or computer Hourly, high-volume hiring and staffing agencies Yes: from $499 a month, billed annually
Tenzo Phone or video interviews; text, email and WhatsApp for screening and scheduling High-volume recruiting teams, staffing agencies and RPOs No; quotes on request

If most of your applicants apply from a phone between shifts, the format column matters more than any feature list. A call they can take on a break, a link they open that evening and a video they record on camera each lose different people. Our playbook for high-volume hiring covers how to measure where candidates drop out, so you can compare formats on your own numbers.

What is HeyMilo?

HeyMilo describes itself as the AI recruiter for teams swamped by applications, and since 2026 as an agentic recruiting platform for high-volume hiring. It was founded in 2023 by Sabashan Ragavan, its CEO, and Ramie Raufdeen, and is based in New York. It announced a $2.2 million seed round led by Canaan Partners in March 2025 and further funding in June 2026.

HeyMilo's AI phone interviews let the AI call candidates or send them a browser audio link, and in its AI video interviews the AI listens, responds and asks relevant follow-up questions. Around the interviews sit SMS screening, knockout questions on application forms, scenario-based skill assessments, calendar booking after the screen, active proctoring with a cheating trust score, and analytics. Scores are configurable fit scores with a plain-language rationale. Named ATSs include Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS, Bullhorn, Avionté, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, SuccessFactors, UKG and JobDiva.

Its buyers are corporate recruiters, staffing agencies, BPOs, data-annotation firms and franchises, with healthcare and light industrial among its industries. HeyMilo's responsible AI page says the AI is not making hiring decisions, that the company enforces human-in-the-loop review at every stage, and that Warden AI runs monthly bias audits. The pricing page is a demo form.

Why do teams compare HeyMilo with other tools?

  • Price. With no published pricing, budgeting starts with a sales call.
  • Format. HeyMilo leads with phone and video. Teams whose candidates prefer text, or who don't want to ask for a camera, compare formats first.
  • Languages. HeyMilo's homepage lists 20+ languages and its phone and video pages 14+, so teams hiring in several languages confirm theirs.
  • Scope. Some teams want outreach, scheduling and an ATS in one product; others want just the interview.

Which HeyMilo alternatives are worth comparing?

The seven tools below are listed alphabetically. Each entry covers what the tool is, how it differs from HeyMilo and what to check, drawn from the vendor's own pages.

Alex

Alex is an AI recruiter from Apriora Inc. that holds two-way screening interviews by video, phone, SMS or WhatsApp, asks follow-up questions in real time and books the next interview on your team's calendar. It scores recorded video interviews against a rubric, can check a government ID and a live selfie, and lists 33+ officially supported ATS integrations, including Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever, SAP SuccessFactors and Bullhorn.

Compared with HeyMilo: similar phone and video interviews, plus WhatsApp, which matters where candidates use it more than SMS. Alex's ethical AI page says no candidate is auto-rejected by AI, and its blog says Warden AI audited it in 2025.

What to check: pricing isn't published, and its pages give 26+ languages in one place and 30 in another. Our page on Alex alternatives covers it in depth.

Classet

Classet is an AI recruiting platform for hourly and frontline roles in staffing, skilled trades, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics. Its AI recruiter, Joy, handles the first phone interview and the follow-ups: Joy calls candidates, and a Call to Apply hiring number lets candidates ring in at any hour and reach Joy. Follow-ups go by text and email, and candidates can book group or one-to-one interviews, virtual or in person.

Each criterion is marked met or not met with the candidate's words quoted, and the overall fit is Strong, Good, Borderline or Weak; Classet says Joy never rejects anyone. Joy works in 25+ languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French and Mandarin, and Classet says a third party audits it for bias monthly.

Compared with HeyMilo: phone-first like HeyMilo's call option, with published prices: Starter is $249 a month billed annually, or $349 month to month, for 50 completed interviews, and Scale is $999 a month billed annually, or $1,399 month to month, for 250. Enterprise starts at $1,995 a month, and the trial is 20 free interviews, with a card required.

What to check: ATS sync, covering 95+ platforms, is Enterprise-only; below that, Classet's Hiring Hub, a light ATS, plugs into Indeed. No browser or video interview is described, and fraud detection isn't mentioned.

DIO

DIO is the AI interviewer made by Dio, which publishes this page. Candidates open a link the recruiter shares and hold a structured voice interview in the browser whenever it suits them, with a microphone and never a camera; most interviews take about 15 minutes. DIO follows up when an answer is thin or vague, and at the end answers the candidate's own questions from a Q&A the recruiter has reviewed.

Each competency is rated 1 to 5 against anchors written for the role. Every score must quote the candidate's exact words, which are checked against the transcript, and two different AI models grade each competency independently; when the evidence isn't there, or the models disagree about whether it is, the score is left blank rather than guessed. Knockout questions flag an answer for a recruiter to review, and a person on your team makes every hiring decision.

Compared with HeyMilo: a browser voice interview in place of a call or a camera, so candidates need only a microphone. Every competency score quotes the candidate's own words, and both models have to find the evidence before a score appears.

What to check: interviews are in English only, and there is no SMS screening or booking after the screen. Dio doesn't send invitations itself, so the link goes out through your own email, ATS or job posting, and results leave as CSV or Excel exports and a PDF summary of each interview.

Humanly

Humanly makes AI recruiting software for hourly, frontline and high-volume hiring teams: an AI Recruiter for outreach, screening and scheduling by SMS, chat and email, an AI Interviewer, an ATS, a notetaker and a CRM. Screening runs by chat, phone, voice and video, and the AI Interviewer holds real-time video interviews with an interviewer persona you choose, or one built on yourself. Everyone is scored against the same criteria, with knockout rules, 1–5 category scorecards and transcripts, and scheduling runs around the clock against Google, Outlook and Zoom calendars.

Compared with HeyMilo: a broader suite, with its own ATS and CRM, and more languages: candidates can answer in English, Spanish and 35+ others. Humanly names integrations with Workday, iCIMS, Greenhouse, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, Dayforce, Oracle Taleo, Avature and Employ.

What to check: pricing isn't published; the site offers a demo and an ROI calculator. Its FAQ asks how Humanly protects against candidate fraud but gave no answer on the page we read, so ask.

InterviewFlowAI

InterviewFlowAI is self-serve AI interview software for startups, agencies and talent teams, founded in 2025. Candidates take a two-way conversational interview by video or phone call at any hour, with email reminders, and the product also offers audio-only and role-play interviews, more than 100 skill assessments and a notetaker for recruiter calls. It supports 16 languages and 10 voices, and gives scorecards, rankings and transcripts.

Compared with HeyMilo: self-serve with published prices. Pilot is $59 a month for 20 interview credits, Growth $299 a month for 303 credits and Scale $499 a month for 505 credits, with a 7-day trial that includes 10 credits. Role-play interviews suit sales and call-center roles, where how someone handles a customer says more than a question can.

What to check: phone interviews and ATS integrations start on Growth, and cheat detection on Scale. Its site names no ATS, though Greenhouse documents an integration. Our page on InterviewFlowAI alternatives has the full plan breakdown.

Ribbon

Ribbon's AI interviewer, Bonnie, runs structured voice and video interviews at any hour on a phone or computer with a modern browser, between the application and the first human-led interview. It follows up when an answer needs more detail, sends invitations by SMS, email or WhatsApp, supports 10+ languages and gives rubric scores and a recommendation. It says it syncs with 60+ ATSs, naming Greenhouse, Workday, Ashby, UKG and Workable, and flags integrity signals such as looking away, background voices and scripted answers for a reviewer.

Compared with HeyMilo: the same high-volume and staffing buyers, with published prices and a free trial. Ribbon's plans, billed annually, start at $499 a month for 100 interviews; Business is $999 for 400 and Scale $1,999 for 1,000.

What to check: overage on Growth is $4.00 an interview, so size the plan to your real volume. The pages we read describe browser interviews, not dial-in calls, so ask if your candidates need one. See Ribbon alternatives for more.

Tenzo

Tenzo's AI recruiter, Morgan, screens, interviews and schedules candidates by phone, text, email and WhatsApp, with AI phone or video interviews around the clock. Recruiters define the criteria, the weighting and the knockout questions, and the score, transcript and recording go to the candidate's record. Tenzo lists 57 or more integrations, including Bullhorn, Workday, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, UKG, Dayforce and Salesforce, and checks 40+ signals for cheating and stolen identities.

Compared with HeyMilo: a similar phone and video mix with WhatsApp added, and more languages: Tenzo says it works in more than 40. It says a person reads the record and makes the decision, and that candidates can opt out of AI interviews.

What to check: pricing is by tailored quote, and we didn't find a third-party bias audit named on its site, where HeyMilo names Warden AI. See Tenzo alternatives.

How do you choose a HeyMilo alternative?

High-volume screening tools look alike in a demo. Five questions separate them.

  1. Which format will your applicants finish? Phone calls suit candidates who don't sit at a computer; browser links suit those who'd rather pick their moment; video asks the most of a candidate. Run the same role through two formats if you can, and compare how many finish.
  2. What does the price count? Classet counts completed interviews, Ribbon gives a monthly allowance with overage, and InterviewFlowAI sells credits. Work out your monthly volume and compare the cost of a completed interview at that volume. Our screening cost calculator shows what your recruiters' screens cost today, for comparison.
  3. What sits behind a fit score? A rationale written by the AI is not the same as the candidate's words. Ask to see, for each rating, what the candidate actually said, and our explainer on how AI interview scoring works shows what a traceable score looks like.
  4. Which ATS connections are on your plan? Classet's ATS sync is Enterprise-only and InterviewFlowAI's integrations start on Growth. Ask every vendor whether your ATS is a native integration and which plan includes it.
  5. Will it run a pilot on your own roles? Put one live requisition through it, have a recruiter rate a sample independently, and compare. Agencies can find the questions to ask in our page on AI interviews for staffing agencies.
